रोश्मिता हरिमूर्ति का नाम सुर्खियों में है। यह वह नाम है जो आने वाले समय में मिस यूनिवर्स सौंदर्य प्रतियोगिता में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व करेगा। रोश्मिता ने हालही मेंयामाहा फैसीनो मिस दिवा 2016 का खिताब जीता है। जिसके बाद यह तय हो गया कि वह मिस यूनिवर्स सौंदर्य प्रतियोगिता में भारत का प्रतिनिधित्व करेंगी।
बैंगलुरू की 22 साल की रोशमिता ने 15 लड़कियों के बीच इस प्रतियोगिता में जीत हासिल की है।
रोशमिता ने कहा कि इस कामयाबी से बेहद खुश हैं। ताज हासिल करने के बाद रोशमिता ने बताया कि यह एक अत्यंत उत्साहपूर्ण यात्रा थी। यह मेरे लिए एक अद्भुत अनुभव रहा है।सभी कार्यों और प्रतियोगिताओं ने वास्तव में मुझे एक विजेता बनने में मदद की है।
रोशमिता अभी इंटरनेशनल बिजनेस विषय की पढ़ाई कर रही है और उसका कहना है कि वह जल्दी ही मिस प्रतियोगिता 2017 के लिए तैयारी शुरू कर देंगी।
जजों के पैनल में पूर्व मिस यूनिवर्स लारा दत्ता, अर्जुन रामपाल, अभय देओल, अदिति राव और फैशन डिजायनर गौरव गुप्ता थे।
